Team Saskatchewan

Over the course of the break, I have accomplished many things. I have read half of George Carlin's biography or as he called it "sortofbiography," went out of coffee to catch up with a few friends, purchased a electronic keyboard to relearn some of my piano skills from my youth, made a trip home to North Battleford, watch The Patriot, American Gangsters, and Meatballs, watched the Heritage Classic between my Montreal Canadiens versus the Calgary Flames, watch some curling and type possibly the longest sentence that I have ever typed in my lifetime.

Over the course of the last five days, I have had plenty of opportunity to catch up on the news from the CRTC proposal to limit internet usage to Canadian Milos Raonic sudden rise in tennis to Brian Burke's continual purge (although being a Habs fan, I must admit, he's done a fine job for the future of the franchise), one recent news had caught my attention. Saskatchewan curlers have recently done extremely well. Saskatchewan Junior Men's and Women's curling teams have recently won the Canadian championships. As well, team Saskatchewan presently has done extremely well at the Scott's Tournament of Hearts. It is well document that this is Riders Nation, however, I would like to congratulate and thank all athletes representing this province. They've done exceptionally well. Also props to all Huskies athletes in our college as the play-offs near.

As for my stand-up comedy video of the week, I wanted to share Bill Cosby's stand-up routine on The Invention of Basketball. With our colleague Marci and the women's basketball team about to play, I thought it would be nice to hear Bill Cosby's retelling of basketball's history.
