Hi Readers,
I have recently purchased the first seasons of Dan For Mayor and Hiccups. Although both television show feature stars from Corner Gas (Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson in Hiccups and Fred Ewanuick in Dan For Mayor), both shows have received overwhelming support. I, for one, feels both shows have shown great potential in their initial seasons and feel given the chance, they both can pick up steam. Both shows allow the stars to shine but also centers around the ensemble, showcasing many of the other actors on-screen chemistry and comedic timing. I look forward to the second season which hopefully should be airing in the next couple of months.
Due to the overwhelming amount of school work that still requires my attention, I'm going to cut this entry short. My video for this week that I wish to share is not of a stand-up comedian, but an opening short film for the 2007 Gemini Awards. I have just seen this clip (I'm talking moments ago) for the first time and feel in love with it. On top of showcasing two of my favorite Saskatchewanian actors in Brent Butt and Eric Peterson from Corner Gas, it also shows my favorite improvisation comedian Colin Mochrie. Here's the YouTube video called Gemini Awards Opening Film.
