Hippy Dippy Weatherman

Hello,

Just a few recaps for this week. First off, congratulations to Team Saskatchewan Women's Curling Team for pulling off the victory at the Scott Tournament of Hearts. Not to be outdone, I heard that our University Women's Basketball Team had a strong showing as well. Congratulations.

Secondly, my addiction for watching celebrity chefs/food related shows has increased over the break. Now on top of me following the various television shows that of Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, and Robert Irvine, I had begun to watch No Reservation with Anthony Bourdain. Disguised as a travel show, the New York City Chef focuses a good portion of the show around food. His cynicism makes him a hilarious host and an addictive show to watch. I highly recommend it.

Lastly, during the course of the last few days, we've taken a beating with the weather. As always, I thought I'd share some stand-up comedy to lighten the mood. Both routines are done masterfully by the comedic genius George Carlin. The first clip as the Hippy Dippy Weatherman is his earlier routine as done on the Ed Sullivan Show. The second clip is done at a much later time in his career out of nostalgia, but in my mind, equally as hilarious. Enjoy.
